Welcome to the Grenville Battery Trust
Grenville Batttery Trust is a small heritage organisation in SE Cornwall, UK.
We started out (and got our name from) work to re-open and restore Grenville Battery, a fort high on the cliffs overlooking Cawsand Bay in SE Cornwall. It is one of a huge ring of military sites around the city of Plymouth, built over the centuries to defend the naval dockyard.
Although we lost the use of Grenville in 2013, our organisation has continued with a range of local, regional and international projects. Each of these creates new volunteering and learning activity for the participants, and actively supports heritage/community work in our local area.
We hope that this website will help you to understand our work.
